March 13, 2021: Well….. today, even though full of accomplishment, yielded very little to move on… 1 whole entire magazine and another cardboard box! LOL
I see this as a good sign and an opportunity…
Good sign: areas which are finished, bring happiness and are free from further scrutiny. : )
Opportunity (aka. soap box ~ wink, smile): A chance to mention something ~ Sometimes it seems like I am not decluttering when I am because items albeit moved on are not moved out. Since college, I have consciously railed against developing a “disposable mentality”.
Everything possible is donated, recycled and/or repurposed after it has been worn right through. For example: t-shirts become dust rags, which then become cleaning rags which then become oil rags or textile donations. Toothbrushes become cleaning brushes then car washing/detailing brushes. Baby food jars became containers for nails and screws. Empty pill bottles became travel bottles. And so on…
This is often a lengthy process for an item, but it yields much good, in my humble opinion… saves A LOT of money and produces much less waste… which means more money to use elsewhere and less cumbersome trash to haul out…. (although I suppose it does rob of us of the fun when the bottom falls out out the rubbish bag ~ ROFL! )
Plus, it cultivates the abilities to see value, be creative and take the long view. Not to mention feeling good from giving and doing my part. All in all… a true win-win-win!
On that note, I’ll leave us all to ponder… subtract today into tomorrow’s count and combine photos, so we can get some rest… as it is Spring Forward tonight.

Maggie Says What?!?!
