Day Ctrl-Alt-Del

March 6, 2021: Hi all! It feels good to be back… been a bamboozling couple of weeks… Yet, I learned a lot and was reminded of more…. some highlights are….

First, if I don’t write down the chronology, I won’t remember it! ROFL!

This translates into: I have many items to “move on” for the minimalist challenge, but no idea whatsoever the order they were found nor what day they were discovered. LOL!

Second, I was attempting to leave out major details about me, so we could all relate in neutrality to our humanity, but here’s a bit of reveal ~ I live with my constant companions, intractable pain and GI disorder… and I forgot that despite my best efforts they demand attention on an ongoing basis which produces disruption in my best laid plans….

This translates into: I have to reinvent the minimalist challenge for my circumstances ~ an opportunity to be creative! Yeah! As I am truly committed to finishing all 400+ items; I just may need to take the scenic route. And from time to time, I will need to take a mini hiatus. For this I will ask for your patience… never fear though, I will return! Kinda like gum stuck on the bottom of your shoe! LOL!

Lastly, I learned I have A LOT more clutter than I thought! and most of it is in my mind! ROFL!

This translates into: close down apps in my brain, cross items off the to-do list (17 pages long ~ aren’t I efficient these days?!? LOL), stop emotional cutting (removing the bittersweet items & deleting deceased phone numbers ~ to name 2), accomplish closure where possible, admit who I am and organize accordingly*, create an environment which “Sparks Joy”,** etc… (see what I mean about clutter in my brain ROFL!)…. and walk boldly into the new dawn.

I might actually meet the horizon faster if I was dragging less baggage of all kinds! LOL!

So for tonight, it is Ctrl-Alt-Del… then, breathe easy and start a fresh…..

See you tomorrow! With a new plan in tow…

Hi, I'm Maggie! My grandmother always told me I should have weekly newspaper column titled "Maggie Says What" because of the outrageous things she thought I said. Then, she would laugh & laugh. Now, in honor of her, I am trying my hand at a blog. Hope you like it! Or at least have a good eye roll! ; )
