February 26, 2021: I know I have been dropping the ball on the challenge among, well, everything else! LOL! Except my mirror… Did you see my mirror?!?!? It’s lovely! And full of smiles!
Julia Child said, “No excuses…,” so I am not apologizing for my mess, because, honestly, it is just life, but I am offering up an explanation for being MIA. I swerved off course and ran aground… that’s the long and short of it.
Although, I have FINALLY sorted out why… The challenge is technically about Minimalism not only decluttering… it’s about disconnecting from material possessions… owning only what you need for daily living… How timely!?!?? LOL!!!
I had been lamenting this challenge wasn’t in Fall when decluttering was in full swing… years of auto club magazines, old t-shirts & pillowcases cut into cleaning rags (I’m very big on re-purposing ~ doing my best to avoid the disposable mentality), lots of shredding, gifted and donated books, etc… but as I said in the beginning, I wanted this challenge to mean something… Well, I got my wish… ROFL! Very little easy to jettison!
So, that in mind, my sights are set on cleaning the proverbial cobwebs… items which take me away from lightness of being and health. And looking back at the last few weeks, it appears the joke is on me because that’s exactly what I’ve been doing! Even the easy items! ROFL!
Maybe the decluttering needs to be getting out of my own way!!! ROFL!!!
So time to declutter my brain, drain my glias and start fresh again tomorrow… well, maybe Monday… it’s my birthday weekend! Hip Hip Hooray!
“Come Monday, it will be all right…” (Jimmy Buffet)…. See you then! And hopefully tomorrow!
P.S. Maybe I should create a Blog 3 for holding salons ~ 1st topic: “Jimmy Buffet ~ Philosopher”, discuss. After all, as he said, “With all of our running and all of our cunning, if we couldn’t laugh, we would all go insane.”
