Day 11

February 11, 2021: Today’s theme ~ more fear than fuss. LOL! I spent much time lost and unable to decide where to tackle next. Luckily, once I gave up looking, all magically appeared!

First, by happenstance, I found an expired tube of medicine in plain sight on my night stand.

Next, I simply picked a random pile and it became a treasure hunt! I found a signed first edition book of a local writer! A 20% off entire purchase coupon at a favorite home store! A book of stamps! Loads of yummy looking recipes! Some souvenirs from a trip to AZ and another to NYC! Postcards from a favorite aunt! Oh wait…. this is about decluttering not keeping… ROFL!

Ok, different treasure hunt… to remove…. LOL! I found 1 newspaper, 4 magazines, some bits of “flinter”, old catalogs and a moving packet from 2015! Up to 9 items!

Then, looking around with the “Final Jeopardy” song counting down in my head, I remembered I owned another bittersweet item… I love this pair of votive candle holders, but they, too, were from the person who gave me the washcloths I let go on Day 2. Guess it is time to take a deep breath and let go again. I will miss them… yet welcome the freedom.

Btw, I mentioned sending some recipes in the magazines to my mother and she said sending my clutter to her house doesn’t count as getting rid of it! ROFL! Good to know, right!?!?! Still ROFL!!
