February 7, 2021: I woke today thinking I would dig in the crawl space, easily locate 7 things and call it a day… Well, we all know what happens with best laid plans….
In any case, life has a funny way of coming full circle…
After spending much of the day enjoyably gluing stones on my mirror (which is still hilariously sticky! sunlight didn’t help a bit…. LOL) while listening to an online music festival and chatting with friends in video calls, I suddenly realized the sun had set and I hadn’t even begun my challenge today!
Of course, by now, too tired to pull items out of the crawl space let alone fight the feline over said crawl space, “Uh oh!” sped through my mind and my “over thinker” was on the job!
We went here, there and here, trying to decide what to dive into when my “intuition”, which had been repeatedly shushed throughout this process by my “over thinker”, shouted, “THE DRAWER!!” So startled, we listened!
Now, you remember the drawer ~ it wouldn’t close the other day… so we thought it might be a sign… Funny thing about signs they can be paradoxical in nature…. and tonight, of course, the drawer wouldn’t open! LOL! LOL!
It took some macgyvering, but the drawer was finally opened ages later without injury to life or limb. However, it felt like it when a whole new slew of plastic bags sprang forth like fireworks! ROFL!
Here’s where life comes full circle… as imagined in the morning, 7 objects were easily found: bits of trash/recycling, expired bottle of aloe vera, and another of flower essences, more expired pills, old medicinal turmeric, some syringe caps (which were almost glued to thumbtacks to be push pins), and a rancid bar of soap.
So relieved was I when the soap was excavated! It means the “dirty tissues” were actually clean even if used! (I sometimes wrap bars of soap from hotels in tissue to bring them home.) NOTHING to be humiliated about from Day 4! They weren’t snotty! Whew! I was really becoming worried about my mental hygiene!
All and all a good day of moving past, on and forward. See you tomorrow!
